Cakes and Beyond

Welcome! I'm posting on this page all the cakes & desserts that I've created. All of my cakes are homemade, covered in homemade buttercream frosting, and decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant, almond and chocolate flavored (This is fondant that you will actually want to eat). I have several cake flavors and am always looking for new flavors to try. Quality is the most important thing to me in my cakes - I won't make something that tastes bad just to look good and neither will I make something that tastes good but is boring.

Elmo's Blankie Cake






Well I'm not in full swing of cakes again, but I couldn't miss my sweet Gwendolyn's 2nd birthday. Here's her Elmo Blankie Cake. If you know Gwen at all, you know she loves her blankie more than anything (sometimes I think more than me!). So when she fell in love with a movie about how Elmo loses his blankie, I knew exactly what her cake would be. This is a fairly simple cake (due to newborn twins at home), but I did make the cake "wave" like her blanket and of course the fondant Elmo was a must.

I LOVE the idea of taking a favorite item that a kid (or an adult!) and making it edible. So if you want a cake of your PS2 or your kid's favorite teddy bear (and I'm always open to designing a cake for you too), I'll be taking cake orders starting in June. Make sure to get your cake orders in early though as I'll be taking a limited amount each month in order to continue to provide the highest quality to all my customers!     Wow, all my life I wanted a 3D cartoon cake but I never got one! I really envy your kids, remember to take more photos for the sweet memories :)
