Small Block & Star Birthday Cake

I did this for a family in my MOPS group. This first cake was just for the family and the theme was off of a napkin they showed me. Around the cake it says, "Happy Birthday!" The little blocks that say "Blake" are actually square cake pops! Yes, it was not easy to make squares, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. I still used the lollipop stick to make them, as it's easier for dipping and drying the cake pops, then I just removed the stick. That does leave a hole in the back of the cake pop, so I'm still working on perfecting them. Or if you like, you could leave them on the stick, which would be fun too. :-) I frosted with buttercream and decorated with Marshmallow Fondant.
