Cakes and Beyond

Welcome! I'm posting on this page all the cakes & desserts that I've created. All of my cakes are homemade, covered in homemade buttercream frosting, and decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant, almond and chocolate flavored (This is fondant that you will actually want to eat). I have several cake flavors and am always looking for new flavors to try. Quality is the most important thing to me in my cakes - I won't make something that tastes bad just to look good and neither will I make something that tastes good but is boring.

I got a request to make the same cake as my MOPS cake in different colors (which by the way in real life is lilac but for some reason is pink in the picture!). I think I've finally made my "perfect" flower deco cake & will repeat if someone really wants it. But, I'm also ready for a new challenge. :-) Oh, I used a new chocolate frosting recipe which is absolutely delicious. This cake is marble with chocolate chips, which I LOVE. I definitely have to remember to take an inside picture next time I make the marble cake, because if I do say so myself it's a gorgeous cake even without the frosting! Yum, I love cake leftovers. :-)
