Here's my latest cake! I really had fun with this one. The ball of yarn is an individual cake, covered in buttercream frosting and then wrapped up with fondant "strings" for the birthday girl. The main cake is my marble cake (yum!) with buttercream frosting. I loved the simplicity of the design and how it presented as a unified theme. The border is more "yarn" made out of fondant, and I used the yarn to put the birthday girl's age. I kneaded white & orange together for the cat and wanted him to look like he was hugging the ball of yarn out of pure joy (what cat wouldn't be thrilled about a huge ball of yarn). Enjoy!
