Cakes and Beyond

Welcome! I'm posting on this page all the cakes & desserts that I've created. All of my cakes are homemade, covered in homemade buttercream frosting, and decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant, almond and chocolate flavored (This is fondant that you will actually want to eat). I have several cake flavors and am always looking for new flavors to try. Quality is the most important thing to me in my cakes - I won't make something that tastes bad just to look good and neither will I make something that tastes good but is boring.

Ballerina Cake








This is my newest cake, done for my friend's little girl - Madelynn. It's also my first attempt at fondant people, as everything on this cake is edible, including the topper. I wanted to put little decorations of what you would see in a ballerina's room - ballerina teddy bear, flowers (which were also to hold the 3 birthday candles), shoes, & a pillow. I'm happy with how it all turned out, and I'm even more happy that little Madelynn loved it. :-) Enjoy the very girly ballerina cake!

    Maddy loved her cake, Tad is still eating leftovers and said it is still amazing a week later! And Maddy is still telling people about her "ballet cake"! Thanks so much Emily!!
